BUKIT BATOK TOWN PARK

Located next to Bukit Batok Sports Complex, along Bukit Batok East Avenue 5, the 41-hectare Bukit Batok Town Park is reminiscent of Guilin in China. Developed on an abandoned quarry site, the whole scene of vertical outcrops of granite rock within a lake resembles very much the landscape of Guilin. It is no wonder that this park is also known as Little Guilin.

It has attracted visitors from all over Singapore, who go there more for the scenery than anything else. A narrow strip of land between the road and the lake has been tastefully landscaped and provided with footpaths. Plenty of photographic film is expended at Little Guilin as shutterbugs click away, for the rock outcrops and the lake form a perfect backdrop.
